Get your 'watch' on in the bathroom.

Seura Mirror

For some MTV Cribs living, having a TV in the bathroom is standard issue, to truly 'pimp' out your ceramic paradise you just 'gotsta' get a mirror TV. The Seura Television Mirror is an LCD HDTV display concealed behind a bathroom mirror so that it is invisible when turned off. Available in 26" to 45" 'flavas' the Seura line should be able to satiate any screen glutton's desires. And with the choice of a wide-range of frames the unit should fit in with even the most delicate of interiors. In terms of installation it's an easy retrofit with a surface mount unit, or alternatively it can be recessed. It uses a 1920x1080 Sharp flat panel, equipped with an CableCARD-enabled HDTV tuner. From a quick search on Google I was unable to find a retailer in the UK but it's a very similar product to the Philips Miravision or the Mirror Media which are just shy of the £3000 price mark.

From value to valuable

Escient Fireball DVDM-522Wireless

As opposed to the below SCART sender, the Escient Fireball DVDM-552 is a whole different environment of multiroom video (and music in this case). This silver box is a 500gb media server which can also manage 2000 CD/DVDs in external changers. Coupled with the optional MP-200 Digital Media Player, you can play a second movie in a different room. Priced at $5999 Escient are clearly trying to get a cut of the high-end media server pie, the problem with that is it falls short of the 1.2 tb internal storage of the Denzel Inteset, and the zone distribution capability of the Axonix Media max.

Multi-room video on the cheap

Wireless SCART Sender

Here's a cheap way of getting Sky from your front room to your bedroom. The Wireless SCART Sender is a SCART plug with an integrated wireless 2.4 GHz audio/visual sender allowing you to beam any program or movie you're watching in one room to another one, wirelessly. It even comes with a UHF remote control extender so you can control the root video source. Costing a measely £39.99 this is perfect for the DIYer looking for a cheap way of retrofitting some basic multiroom video functionality.
