Art-conditioner

LG ART COOL Picture Frame Air Conditioner

Summer’s just around the corner and being able to retreat from the heat is a real luxury. For those not happy with bulky run-of-the-mill air-conditioners and are looking for something a little more concealed, LG has just released their ART COOL Picture Frame air-conditioner. This allows interior-conscious individuals to display a favourite picture, drawing or any type of printed image (approximately 17-by-17 inches) under its transparent front panel.

The LG ART COOL is the only duct-free air conditioning series offering a ‘Chaos Swing’ feature — a three-way airflow with computer-controlled vanes that simulate a natural breeze. This feature creates a more natural flow of air to eliminate hot or cold spots from a room. The system also features an ultra-quiet fan and motor so it won’t disturb you while you sit in your lounge, with the blinds drawn, watching ‘March of the Penguins’ promising you will never curse the Winter cold again.

Automated Parenting

The Intellicot by Cencio

Now here is a serious labour saving device, the Intellicot is the solution for all parents faced with bed-time defiant babies. The Intellicot:

• Develops a regular sleeping pattern with automatic rocking
• Helps keep your child cool in summer with air circulation
• Reduces parents bending and back strain with the built in lifting system
• Allows you to keep an eye on your child from anywhere in your house with the integrated video monitor

The Intellicot is due out some time this year and even without a pricetag yet it’s easy to predict that this will be a hit if it works. Sleep deprivation being a bonafide form of torture I’m sure most parents will put a high premium on reducing the bags under their eyes.

Z.Island Kitchen is Light years ahead.

Z.Island Kitchen

Looking like reclaimed furniture torn from the starship enterprise, this new kitchen from DuPont Corian is an absolute must have for any self respecting trekkie.
Although I'm sure, not to everyone's taste, the Z.Island does have some very interesting features such as allowing the chef to control, a range of multimedia equipment, browse the net or adjust the lighting of the room.
My only concern is that it's styling is so extreme that it won't blend in with all my other wonderful Smart-Home kitchen appliances like the Hydrotap, LG's Steam Washing machine or the LG Smart Fridge.
