Backyard Bling: CalSpas Outdoor Entertainment Island:
By the same company who brought you the Entertainment spa which we reported on in March, CalSpas have released the Outdoor Entertainment Island. It has pretty much the same entertainment functions as the Spa minus the spa part. At the touch of a button, a JVC 42″ Plasma TV rises from within the island it also has 4 - 6″ Clarion surround-sound speakers, built-in subwoofer, DVD/CD player with AM/FM tuner and is Sirius satellite radio compatibility. Impressively you can clean the Outdoor Entertainment Island by simply hosing it down, handy if a hose-pipe ban isn’t in effect, damn you drought! Although, If you can afford the $16995 price tag, you could probably afford a cleaner to come round for £7/hr to wipe it down.

iPod docking station for the kitchen
Here’s an iPod docking station which is original and not retarded. The iHome iH36 is for undercabinet installation and has a built-in motorized folding dock that allows charging capabilities for both the iPod and iPod Shuffle. The docking station has a 3 line LCD display a built-in cooking timer, radio, speakers (of course) and remote control. For $199 it’s a simple retrofit solution, time to download some cooking podcasts perhaps.
