A Fridge-Freezer wearing more Jewellery than you.
The high-tech Eye-Catcher touch fridge-freezer is a unique user-friendly appliance. Control is via a touch screen, mounted at eye-level on the fridge door. This control panel allows adjustment of the various settings, displays the temperatures and warns of any problems. It is also the control interface for the built-in radio, recipe book and voice memo recorder/player.
Unsatisfed with just being high-tech the unique Premium fridge-freezer, isn’t called the “Eye-catcher” for no reason. Complementing its gloss black colour and elegant door, it features 7,000 hand-embedded crystals from the world famous Swarovski. Fewer than 10 are being produced.

Going against the grain, Kunihiro Tsuji's Modal speakers project sound from the top instead of the front. Apparently this allows sound to distribute unobstructed and reach listeners with a balanced and untainted sound. The Modal speakers thus free the user from placing them in conventional positions in a space, i.e. no longer do they have to be on the right and left of the room etc. Very exciting conept indeed.

Sony LocationFree TV available this month!
Sony is set to release its LocationFree TV offering in the UK this month, allowing you to stream TV not only around your home but also around the world.
By connecting the base station to a set-top box you can stream TV wirelessly to PCs or laptops with the bundled Sony software loaded. The really cool bit is when you hook it up to your broadband. As long as you’re connection is 300Kbps+ you’ll be able to dial into your TV, if you have a digital or personal video recorder (DVR or PVR) connected to the base station, you can program it to tape what you might miss from thousands of miles away. That's not all, apparently you can control the other hardware on the network securely from anywhere on earth using "NetAV" - and according to Sony, it's as simple to set up as the connection in the home. Even PSP users can receive TV as long as they are running version 2.70 of the firmware.
LocationFree will cost around £350.

An article in the property section of the Telegraph has an interesting take on the 21st Century Smart-Home. Commenting on when things go wrong, old people, and how much Smart-Home technology increases property value e.g.
“A conventional four-bedroom house… with garden in South Kensington, is on the market for £1•2 million… while a two-bedroom property in the same area… that has been fitted with the latest in mood lighting and audio visual technology, and control panels in every room, is for sale at £1•5 million”
